Crystal Lynn (Roe) McQueen

Crystal Lynn McQueen of Coal City, IN passed away at her home on 4/11/2024. Crystal was an avid crocheter who loved bingo, barbecues, a good demolition derby, and her family and friends. Before becoming disabled she was employed at Walmart, Cook Medical and PTS Electronics.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike McQueen. Her children; Suzzanne Fluet (Steve), Nicole Valdez (Tony), Ricky Smith (Kathryn), Travis McQueen, and Michael McQueen JR (Lyndzee). Her greatest loves, her grandchildren; Devon Fluet (Sabrina), Dylan Fluet, Gaige Fluet, Rickaelynn Fluet, Nicholas Smith (Bri), Kaden Valdez, Joey Valdez (MaKayla), Jasia Valdez (Leanne), Jeslie Valdez (Lindsey), Kayla Smith, Ariaunna Smith, Izayiah McQueen, Kensley McQueen, Mkayzli Ennis, Adelyne McQueen, Avereigh McQueen, Mahlahnie McQueen, Eylah McQueen and 7 great grandchildren. Her sister Tammy Price, mother-in-law Chris McQueen and many cousins and friends that she adored.

She will be greatly missed and her family finds comfort only in knowing her soul is in heaven with our Creator and she was greeted by many family members that had gone on to Glory before her.

Per her wishes, there will be no viewing or formal service. There will be a Celebration of Life Picnic on May 18, 2024 from 4:30-7:30 at Flatwoods Park (9499 Flatwoods Road, Gosport. IN) Shelters 1A and 1B.

The family has created a GoFundMe in Lieu of Flowers.

If you would prefer an alternate option, donations can also be made in her name to local organizations she enjoyed supporting through her grandchildren. Owen County Civic Theatre, The Valley Soundwaves via Owen Valley Choir Boosters (OV High School), and OV Cadet Guard via OV Band Boosters (OV High School) All of which are located in Spencer, Indiana.
