Anna Mae ‘Ann” Strohm, 90, of Marshall passed away Monday February 4, 2019 at 11:13 pm in Gibson Family Center for Hospice. She had worked for over 30 years at Burnside Community Health Center in Marshall. She was born November 9, 1928 in Clark County to Clayton Rhoads and Helen (Campbell) Rhoads. Ann is survived by daughters, Rebecca Holmes (Jerry) and Carole Chappell (Chip); sons, Larry Strohm (Jeanne) and Randy Strohm (Terry); sisters-in-law, June Cannady and Flossie Rhoads; grandchildren, Renee Grayson, Heather Schneider (Jamie), T.J. Holmes (Marisol), Kristin Strawson (Scott), Kelly Hamende (Jason), Corey Strohm (Jaclyn), Kylee Strohm, Chelsea Rogerson (Tyler), Fred Strohm (Ashley), and Michael Strohm (Megan) 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Warren “Pappy” Strohm, who died February 13, 2018; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ted Trefz; brother, Bill Rhoads; sister-in-law, Vera Raisner, and brother-in-law, Cleo Raisner. Ann was a 77 year member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall, where she still continued to go. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, Tripoley and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. Visitation will be Saturday February 9, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM (CST) in the First United Methodist Church in Marshall with funeral services at 12:00 PM (CST) in the church with Pastor Richard Lewis officiating, Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either, MAYN (Marshall Area Youth Network) or the Marshall Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
