Clarence Edward Allen III went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2018 at 8:17 a.m. at Southwood Nursing Home. He was born on November 4, 1979 to Delia McClan and Clarence Edward Allen II in Gary, Indiana and was raised by his grandmother Pearl McClam until she left to be with the Lord. Clarence attended public schools in Gary, Indiana until he graduated at the top of his class from Roosevelt High School in 1997. He them went on to attend Vincennes University. Clarence then moved to Terre Haute in with his girlfriend Lawana Williams (the mother of his children). He fathered two beautiful girls Jania Allen (age 12) and Jazmine Allen (age 10). He was a step father to Jaylynn Williams from the time she was born until his final day. He was like an uncle to Aaron Davis and Ashley Williams.
Clarence worked all his teenage years and adult life until failing kidneys took over his body. He began dialysis treatments up until his final hours. Clarence fought very hard to be there for his kids. No matter how much pain he was in, whatever they wanted or needed he was there. I had just talked to him the night before he passed. His words were “I’m going to have FAITH in God and let him take care of me”. Monday morning I guess God did what was best for him.
He had many family and friends. His best friends are Jamaal Ward, Wendele James, and Walter Haire.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Samaritan Funeral Home with service at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Curtis Mitchell will be officiating. Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
