Deanna Kay Fales, 67, died peacefully with loved ones by her side while in hospice care at Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus on Saturday, September 28, 2019.
She was born to Robert and Barbara Turpen on June 5, 1952 in Paris, Illinois. She was a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1970. Deanna met the love of her life, Charles D. Fales in Washington, D.C. and the two were united in holy matrimony December 22, 1972. They built a life and family together and settled in St. Marys, Georgia. They had 46 years of laughs, adventures, hardships, and blessings together.
Deanna Kay was a lover of yard sales, treasure finding, the Chicago Cubs, the Georgia Bulldogs, good music, great food, and animals. All those who knew her would say she had a big heart, generous soul, and mischievous spirit. Her favorite title and role was being “nana.” Her greatest love and achievement is her family that she leaves behind. Husband, Charles D. Fales, daughters, Sara Reynolds (Brent) and Tasha Swank (Scott); grandchildren Charlie and Coleton Reynolds, Kaelee and Kyle Swank, and Kaitlyn (Anthony) Slaughter, Braiden Rogers, and Mallory Rogers; mother Barbara Turpen, brother Randall Turpen, and sister Deborah Turpen, nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Turpen and brother David Ellis Turpen.
Memorial Services will be Friday, October 4, 2019 at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church 16362 N 2300th E Street Chrisman, Illinois , 61924 at 5:00PM Illinois time.
