Fred Elmore

Fred Elmore was born August 1, 1943, at home in Bloomingdale, IN. His Parents were Eva Christine & Charles Philip Elmore. Fred was the youngest of 5 children: Betty, John, David, & Clotine. He graduated from Turkey Run High School and enlisted in the US Navy in 1960 at Great Lakes Naval Base. He received training as a medic during his naval service and also worked as an orthopedic hospital orderly in Springfield, MO and authored a pamphlet for Lester E. Cox Medical Center Orthopedics. He then worked as an Operating Room Technician at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville, Illinois. 

He is survived by his wife Rose Martinez Elmore who resides in Terre Haute they were married 10 years. Fred has 1 daughter, Shari Dawn Elmore and 2 sons Michael Phillip Elmore and Manny Monarez, 2 grandsons: Marcus Anthony Elmore and Michael Philip Elmore, Michael's daughter Giavanna Valentina Rose (Fred's granddaughter). Mannys daughters (Fred's granddaughters and his great grandson: Destinni Monarez, Alexis Monarez, M'Kayla Monarez and great grandson Jason Monarez. 

He had 2 step children Yvette Morgan of Terre Haute and her husband Brent Morgan and their children Kristen and Vance Martinez and Ryder Morgan, Suzette Burakiewicz from Greenwood, Indiana and her husband Matt and their daughter Elaina. 

Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother (David, Mary Clotine and Betty)

He enjoyed fishing, guns, Western movies and Dallas Cowboys. We loved his sweet dogs Bentley and Katie and enjoyed working in his shop making birdhouses. 

Funeral Services for Fred will be held on Sunday July 14th at The Bridge Church starting at 2:00 PM.
