Janice "Gram" Lemond

Janice “Gram” Lemond, 82,  a loving mother and grandmother passed away unexpectantly on Thursday, June 13th 2019 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.  A visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church from 4-6pm on Wednesday, June 19th.  A funeral ceremony celebrating her life will follow immediately.

Jan was born on March 24th, 1937 to John Philip and Meta Sendelweck in Otwell, Indiana. She was a 1955 graduate of Otwell High School. Following graduation, she married Vollie “Jerry” Lemond and the two shared 42 years of marriage before his passing in 1997. Jan enjoyed many years as a cosmetologist, as well as a doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, as well as many other clubs and organizations around the Terre Haute area. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and experiencing all life has to offer. She was a huge sports fan and loved cheering on her grandkids, as well as the IU Hoosiers and ISU Sycamores. The quality time she shared with her three great grandkids kept her spirit young and her heart full.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and son, Jeffrey Lemond, her parents, Philip and Meta Sendelweck and siblings Albert, Richard, and Dan Sendelweck. She is survived by her son, Doug and wife Angie of Casey, Illinois. Her two grandchildren Jared Lemond and Sarah Kusterman (Ryan), her three great-grandchildren, Claire, Neelie, and Emmy Kusterman, and her sisters W. Jean Hoffman (William) of Otwell, Indiana and Kathy Goss of Jasper, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jan’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church of 2620 Ohio Blvd, Terre Haute, IN 47803. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all friends and family that have reached out to offer their prayers and condolences, as well as Regional Hospital and Heart to Heart Hospice. She will forever be in our hearts.
