Laura Redicks Obituary

Laura L. Redicks, 101, of Terre Haute passed away on March 6, 2019 at Meadows Manor North.  She was born February 6, 1918 in Terre Haute to Harry Thompson and Lulu Kielblock Thompson.  Laura was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the Nile, Easter Star Lodge #43, Union Hospital Service League, Red Hat Society, and Sycamore County Club. Laura was the receptionist for Drs. Topping, Kable, Combs and Burkle for many years. After retirement, she enjoyed working as the receptionist for Meadows Manor on Poplar Street.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving stepfather Frank Wissel, her husband Kenneth W. Redicks; a sister, Mary Wilkinson; brothers Marshall Thompson, William Thompson, Walter Thompson, and Richard Thompson.

Laura is survived by her sons, James N. Redicks (Karen) of Terre Haute and Thomas F. Redicks (Nita) of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Sarah Redicks Hunter (Daniel)of Portland Oregon, Paul Redicks of Pleasanton California, Gretchen Curtis (Danny) and Steven Trierweiler of Terre Haute; great grandchildren, Chelsea Fitzgerald, Katherine Curtis, Mayson and Christian Trierweiler, Kaia and Kate Hunter; fond sister-in-law Frieda Redicks of Shelbyville IL; nieces and nephews.

The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Micah Thompson, the caregivers, nurses and staff at Meadows Manor North, Southern Care Hospice Services, Signature Health Care, and Royal Oaks of Terre Haute.
