Annette Zukunft, 75, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2024 at 1:20 p.m. while surrounded by her family. She was born May 29, 1949 to Robert and Betty Burton in Tipton, Indiana.

Annette was a long-time member of the Eastern Star and Amaranthe.  She was fortunate enough to serve five terms as Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. Her career included fourteen years with Union Hospital in Brazil, Indiana. Then upon moving to Florida, she worked at Wee Wisdom Preschool for two years before joining HCA Hospital for another fourteen years. During these years, Annette was also President of Jasmine Heights Civic Club for three years. Upon retirement she moved to Hockley, Texas to reside with her son and family.

She was survived by husband of 49 years, Dana Zukunft, three children; Micki Zukunft (Chris Daunorus) of Indianapolis; Amber (Terry) Wilson of Brazil, Indiana; and Andrew (April) Zukunft of Hockley, Texas. Grandchildren: Morgan (Bobby) Handy, Marissa Wilson, Luke (Jordan) Wilson and Kasey Zukunft and two great grandchildren; brothers: Craig Burton of Brooksville, Florida and Harold (Peggy) Burton of Imperial, Missouri; niece Christy (Chris) English of Imperial, Missouri; great niece and great nephew Macy May & Gavin English of Imperial, Missouri; sisters in law Carla (Jim) Lundy of Terre Haute and Carol (Steve) Staley of Clay City, nephew Chad (Carrie) Staley of Clay City; niece Shannon (David) Kelley of Spencer. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty Burton,and two nephews Kevin and Brett Lundy who were waiting for her arrival in heaven.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Samaritan Funeral Home.  Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to our website.
