Betty Louise Walton Goss, 96 of Matlacha Isles, FL and Terre Haute passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 at 10:45 am in Kindred Southwood Health Center. She was retired from the Vigo County School Corporation and the State of Indiana where she worked with the school lunch program. Betty was born December 30, 1919 in Terre Haute to Joseph Burley Marshall and Mary Josephine (Phillips) Marshall. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Kellems (Dr. Robert Kellems); a grandson, John David Snowden (Lisa); great grandchildren; Corey B. Snowden, Bricen C. Snowden, and Sydney E.K. Snowden; a step-daughter, Sandy Hougland; a step-son, Paul Goss, Jr (Mary B.) and step grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Julie, Elizabeth, and Emily and step-great grandchildren, Talib, Solomon, Jacob, and Sophie Marie. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis David Walton who died August of 1964 and her second husband Paul V. Goss who died February 1993. Graveside services will be scheduled for a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park. Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
