Obituary

Brenda Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away September 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and countless memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Brenda was a loving mother to her daughters, Shannon Miller and Marissa Vinson. She was a proud grandmother to Shay Butler, Taylor Fagin, Keith Cooper III, C'Aunna Miller, Brianna Miller Eliyana Vinson, Zerenita Vinson, and Jamariyae Vinson, and a loving great-grandmother to A'Mari.

Her heart was big enough to make room for many, and she had two especially special daughters whom she loved dearly, Karen Westfall and Leslie Perry. She was also a beloved Maw Maw to Chelsi Vinson and cherished her other bonus grandchildren. She had a Godson that she lived dearly Ralph Churchill.

Brenda is survived by her two siblings, Diana Kennedy (Mike) and Michael Dyer (Janice), along with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, bonus family, extended family, and many friends who loved her dearly.

Brenda was the kind of woman who became like a mom to many people. She had a way of making people feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. She loved her family and friends deeply and would have done anything for anybody. Her generosity, loyalty, and willingness to help others were just a few of the qualities that made her so special.

Brenda was known for being sassy, loving, strong, and full of personality. She could make you laugh, tell you exactly what she thought, and still make sure you knew you were loved. Those who knew Brenda will remember not only the things she did for others, but the way she made people feel simply by being herself.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Reynolds, and Rex Dyer.

Though Brenda is no longer here to share her stories, her laughter, her sass, and her love, the pieces of her she gave to everyone around her will remain. Her family and friends will carry her memory forward, and her love will continue through every life she touched.

Brenda was one of a kind, deeply loved, and will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Brenda. Your love, your laughter, and your unforgettable spirit will live on forever.
