Brian Lee Blakemore Sr. (Bo) transitioned into eternal rest on August 12, 2026. He was the ninth child born to Pitt Blakemore Sr. and Estella Blakemore in Gary, Indiana on June 14, 1954. He was a 1973 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Gary Indiana. Brian attended Indiana State University and later served in the United States Navy.

Brian was a gifted and talented bass guitarist and played with numerous bands. His first band was Lost Weekend in Gary, Indiana. Brian was inducted into the Wabash Valley Music Hall of Fame on February 9, 2014. Brian mostly loved playing bass for Shiloh Missionary Baptist church in Terre Haute, Indiana where he was an active member.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Pitt Blakemore Jr. and Edward Blakemore. He is survived by his beloved son Brian Lee Blakemore Jr. (Brenda) of Terre Haute, IN, Janea Blakemore and Winston Blakemore (Kurtisha) of Clinton, OK. Sisters; Sally Hamer (Virginia Beach, VA), Beverly Scott (Raymond) of East Chicago, Indiana, Hazel Holmes (Flowery Branch, GA) and twin sister Brenda Perry (Flowery Branch, GA). Brothers; Robert Blakemore (Carol) of Merrillville, IN, Steven Blakemore Sr. (Diane) of Michigan City, IN and David Blakemore (Victoria) of Gurnee, IL. Brian is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including his loyal friend Dana Barnes and his favorite cousin Marilyn Blakemore.
