On Sunday January 17, 2021 Brian (Doug) Houk a Loving Husband passed away at his home in Fontanet, In. at age 56.

"Doug"  was born April 7, 1964 in LaPorte, In. to Danny & Bonnie (Flory) Houk. Doug graduated from LaPorte High School in 1982.  He married his best friend Kathy (Katie) Browning Houk on June 30, 1995.  He enjoyed hiking & fishing. He was known for being silly.  He also loved helping others with his wife. Doug also was a big Wrestling fan (all organizations).  Doug also leaves behind his beloved therapy cat Ninji, who was allowed in the hospital whenever he had to stay.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Houk & brother Raymond Colston.

He is survived by his wife Kathy (Katie) of Fontanet, In.. 3 brothers: Keith Houk (Martha) of Traverse Fl., Jeff Houk (Barbra) of Brazil, In, & Rocky Colston (Rashonda) of LaPorte, In.  1 sister Sarah Colston of Bristol, In.  He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Doug made a living as a Laborer, Truck Driver, & worked 3 years at Gartland Foundry before he became disabled in 2015.

A Celebration of his life, will be held at a later date, time, and place not determined at this time, due Covid and weather.
