Carol Susanne Latham (Susie) 66 of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away early Tuesday morning on February 15.

Susie was born on July 10, 1955 to Gerald and Edna Rost in Riverside, California. She graduated from South Vigo High School in May of 1973. She later continued her education receiving an Associate's degree in Accounting from Southwestern Illinois College in 1995. She worked for Progress Rail Services in Granite City, IL for 26 years. Susie was huge Cardinal fan, enjoyed going to the games, gardening, traveling, and loved the Florida beaches.

Susie was formerly married to Jack Latham and has three children, John Latham, Amy Latham and Brian Latham, (Nissa). She has one grandchild, Ivy Latham. She has two sisters, Kathy Rost Moreau (Matt) and Tammy Rost.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Edna Rost, her grandparents Harry and Esther Rost and John and Hettie Reeves, her brother Jerry Rost and her brother Mike Rost.

Susie was the most down to earth person, she was very outgoing and in her there was no guile. Everyone loved Susie and she loved everybody. She would do anything for anybody, even when she was not physically able; it was hard to keep her from trying to help. She was very warm hearted, thoughtful of others, and passionate about everything she did. Susie was honestly a selfless person, the world would be a better place with more people like her. She was a believer in the Lord, she did not preach the gospel but she lived it, instilling it in us all. Everyone that knew her will miss Susie.

A memorial will be held at a later day to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Indiana Wildlife.
