Charles Matthew Bratcher, 88, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026 in his home. He was born to Vernon Bratcher and Eva (Logsdon) Bratcher on March 21, 1938 in San Diego, California.

Charles was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 and proudly served in the United States Air Force. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and never missed an event. He was an extremely giving man and never met a stranger.

Charles is preceded in death by both of his parents; his late wife, Joyce (Thornhill) Bratcher; and daughter, Judy Lynn Humphrey.

Charles is survived by his son, Scott Bratcher (Kimber) and their children, Brenly Hammond (Seth), Drew Bratcher, and Alex Bratcher; step-children, Jimmy Thornhill, Joe Thornhill, and Jeanne Campbell; siblings, Vernon Bratcher, Jr., Mike Bratcher, and Sandy Byers; and several grandchildren and great-children.
