Charles Edward "Ed" Lancaster passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 23, 2021.

He was born July 29, 1958, to Frank Lancaster and Margaret V. (May) Lancaster.

Ed Attended Greencastle High School graduating in May of 1976.

Ed's whole life was spent in the Greencastle are expect when he served six years in the Air Force as ground support personnel working on equipment, firetrucks and other vehicles. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Ed returned home to become owner and operator of Lancaster Radiator Shop. When Ed closed his shop, he went on to do work as a mechanic for a number of companies in the general area. In September of 2001, Ed was seriously inquired in an accident during work and was unable to continue his career as a mechanic.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Lancaster, sisters, Flossie Plummer. Vi Lady, and Sarah Frances Lancaster.

Ed is survived by his significant other and lifelong companion, Cathy Rogers, brother, John (Betty)Lancaster of Greencastle, Josh (Lynn) Lancaster of Lancaster OH, Robert Lancaster of Greencastle, IN; sisters Betsy Cox of Cloverdale, IN, Joyce O'Brien of Greencastle, Susan Lancaster of Bloomington, IN, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ed's ashes will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in The Veterans sectional. There will be a graveside service with military honors, Friday, November 5,2021 at 2:00 pm. Online condolences may be left at www.samaritanfunerals.com
