Charles W. Lawson, 72, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday September 6, 2022 in his residence. He was a retired truck driver where he had worked for PAM Trucking. He was born October 23, 1950 in Georgetown, Kentucky to Kelly David Lawson, Sr. and Lillie Mae (Phipps) Lawson. Charles is survived by his daughters, Stacey Kinser (Tony) and Lillie Lawson; sons, Jeffery Dean "JD" Lawson and Anthony Lawson (Suzy); sisters, Martha Pluckett, Janie Reynolds, Jody Francis, and Jewell Smith; brothers, Louis Lawson, Jimmy Lawson, and Curtis Lawson; grandchildren, Logan, Carson, Raiden, and Vinny and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Kent and Becky Carty and brothers, Kelly Lawson, Jr., Denver Lawson, and Roger Dale Lawson. Charles was a member of the Joseph Bray Detachment of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion Post #104. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and taking them to the Dollar General. Charles was also a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed listening to Pat Hughes broadcast the games on the radio. Samaritan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
