Charles “Chuck” Richard Mangino (Pops, Pappy, Gramps), 88, of Terre Haute, Indiana, went to be with his wife, Diane and two sons, Joey and Richie at 4:09 am on Monday, May 11, 2026, with his family by his side. Charles was born on July 9, 1937 to Rose and Angelo Mangino.

Charles loved building race car engines and also enjoyed being behind the wheel. Charles and his son, Joe, won many races in Terre Haute and Wheeling, West Virginia. Charles loved living his life in the fast lane! Those who knew him knew that he was a legend.

Charles lived with his daughter, Kimberly Mangino, the sweet “Peach” of his eye, for the last 15 years, and his son, Tony, whom he loved dearly.

Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Marge.

Charles is survived by his daughter and son; brother, Sunny; 9 grandkids; 13 great-grandkids; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to caregiver, Miss Jodi Svinning, for all of her wonderful care and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 963 Leslie Drive, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885. Eulogy will be given by Pastor Billy Ray Fields.
