Charles Booker T. Joseph Whitesides, 80, of Terre Haute passed away on November 29, 2021. He was born April, 20, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to Booker T. and Letha Hanna Franks Whitesides.
Charlie enjoyed working. He spent many years driving Semi trucks for Eldred Moving and Storage. He later went to work for T&L appliances were he retired from. He also enjoyed hanging out in his garage fixing on things. Charlie loved riding motorcycles, watching Westerns, traveling, and his yearly trip to Holiday World. He enjoyed spending time with his family, mainly hanging out with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Booker T. and Letha Whitesides, brother Gilbert Ray Whitesides, sister Mary Eva Lee-Whitesides, grandchildren Kenny and Kiya Whitesides.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memory his wife Carrie of 15 years and companion for 30, five sons Mathew Hathecock (Kim) of Terre Haute, Indiana, Phillip Whitesides of Pacific, Missouri, Charles Whitesides Jr. III (Mary Ann) of St. Louis, Missouri, Shannon Jeffers of Terre Haute, Indiana, Miles T.C Whitesides of Seattle, Washington; seven daughters Debbie Holmes Smith of Terre Haute, Indiana, Charlene Humphrey (Marcus) of Pacific, Missouri, Etoria Whitesides (William) of Terre Haute, Indiana, Ciara Runnles of Seattle, Washington, Sophia Runnles of Seattle Washington, Ashley Whitesides of Terre Haute, Indiana, Chardonna Whitesides of Terre Haute, Indiana; one brother Earl Whitesides of Indianapolis, Indiana, four sisters, Dallie Irene Smith of St. Louis, Missouri, Frances Morgan of Indianapolis, Indiana, Helen Lee of Elkhart, In, Kathy Garrett of Lafayette, Indiana, twenty-seven grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Lost Creek Baptist Church. Service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Stewart Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
