Christopher Lee Stewart, 53, of Brazil, Indiana passed away June 29, 2026 in his residence. He was born to Richard and Sheralyn (McKinney) Stewart on April 4, 1973 in Brazil.
Chris married Summer Stewart-Britton in 2002 and later divorced in 2010. He graduated from Northview High School in 1992, where he played baseball, basketball, and golf. Chris later attended IU for a short period of time. He was also in the United States Navy.
Chris enjoyed playing DnD with his friends, Dave Lawson, Jim Love, Daniel Love, Walter Roberts, Andy Whitaker, Chad Mishler, and his brother, Kurt Stewart. Chris also enjoyed taking his dog, Ceberus, and his youngest daughter’s dog, Dixie, out to the dog park. He also enjoyed playing World of Warcraft, watching Star Trek, listening to classical music, and playing chess. Chris enjoyed umpiring for the ASK softball league and coaching the girl’s YMCA volleyball and basketball leagues when his daughters were on the teams. Chris absolutely loved Star Wars and it was his favorite series. His favorite character was Harley Quinn and he rooted for the Arkansas Razor Backs and the Dallas Cowboys. Chris attended the Wesleyan Church of Brazil.
Chris is preceded in death by both his parents and grandparents Roy and Mildred, Harry and Jean McKinney.
Chris is survived by daughters, Baileigh Stewart and Alexandria Stewart; brother, Kurt Stewart (Tracy); nephew, August Stewart; aunts, Ethel Mae Graham and Carolyn Robinson (Larry); and much extended family.
Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Wesleyan Church in Brazil at 2:30 pm. Online condolences may be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com
