Christy Lynn Charles, 49, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 in her home. She was born to Roy A. Charles and Connie (Beauchman) Milton on May 7, 1977 in Terre Haute.

Christy loved attending church at The Bridge. She also enjoyed watching television, coloring, playing Bingo, and going to the casino. Christy loved candy bars and could often be found with Rolos and a Diet Mountain Dew. In middle school she was a cheerleader and played basketball. Christy was extremely outspoke and always told it how it was. She was very strong and a fighter until the end.

Christy is preceded in death by her step-father, William Milton; brothers, Roy J. Charles and Fernando Charles; grandparents, Thomas and Mary Beauchman and Roy B. and Juanita Charles; aunts and uncles, Olivia Charles, Mary Vaughn (Elwin), Beulah Prouse, Linda Mason (Sam), David Charles, and Pris Charles; cousin, Tammy Samm; and nephew, Joseph Charles.

Christy is survived by both of her parents; step-mother, Mary Charles; significant other, Joe Dunn; son, Joseph Levi Dunn (Aireyonna Reynosa); sisters, Jennifer Milton, Sabrina Charles, Dominique Charles, and Denise Kopp; cousins Johnny and Kristy Vaughn; and nieces and nephews, Ashley Charles, Roy Charles, Jr., Justin Charles, Reece Umphries, Mikey Whitney, Jenna Whitney, and Mitchell Whitney.

Services for Christy will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Samaritan Funeral Home. Service will begin at 2 pm followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com
