Clarence West, Jr., 80, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born in Terre Haute on November 29, 1941 to Clarence West, Sr. and Mildred E. Spillers.  Clarence served his country in the United States Army.  He was a dock worker in Chicago on the Navy Pier and spent over 30 years as a detailer for Fuson Automotive and Z-Tec.  Clarence was a hardworking family man.  He enjoyed sports of all kinds and playing cards.  He will be missed by many.

Clarence is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lillie West, son Johnnie West, daughters Donna West, Gail West, Deborah West, and Tonya West, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, brother Michael Spillers, brother-in-law Henry Ellington, as well as a host of cousins and friends.  He is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Spillers and step father Henry Spillers, father Clarence West, Sr., sister Rosemary Ellington, and granddaughter Johnita West.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Samaritan Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Pastor William Tyler will officiate.  Online condolence may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com
