Connie Sue (Goodrich) Nelson, 70, of Hymera, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 in her home. She was born to Harold Goodrich and Beverly (Venters) Goodrich on January 2, 1956 in Decatur, Illinois. Connie married the love of her life, Philip Nelson, on June 29, 1985.

Connie worked as a House Keeper and also worked in various other jobs. She loved plants and flowers. Two of Connie’s biggest hobbies were NHRA drag racing and Nascar. Her favorite hobby of all was spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Connie is preceded in death by both of her parents; brothers, Robert Reed and Bruce Goodrich; her in-laws, Dale and Maxine Nelson; and her faithful dog companion, Scooter, whom she loved dearly.

Connie is survived by her loving husband; children, Ronnie Moore (Tammy), Lisa Moore, and Kevin Moore (Dani); grandchildren, Tobias, Kenneth, Cody, Kimberly, Logan, Gaige, and Chase; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold Goodrich of South Carolina, Diana Clifton (Delmar) of Maroa, Illinois, Myrle Goodrich of South Carolina, Don Reed (JJ) of Piedmont, Missouri, and Linda Gill (Jim) of Shelbyville, Illinois; and aunt, Shirley Watkins.
