Constance "Connie" M Murphy, 82, of Terre Haute passed away December 26, 2018 at 1:58 AM in Springhill Village Nursing Home.  Connie was born on June 1, 1936 to Melvin McClain and Ernestine (Gummere) McClain.  She is preceded in death by both parents as well as the father of her children, Glen Murphy.  She is survived by her son Michael Murphy (Debra Bernahl); Daughter Glenda Murphy; Sister Rita Kay (Curt); Grandchildren Bryttani Hottel (Brian Herrington), Ryan Reece (Sarah), Stephanie Flowers (Scott) and Elisha (Cori); great-grandchildren Evelyn, Gabrial, Riley, Libby, Parker, Grace, and Jase as well as her nephews Todd Simonson (Alyse) and Ty Smith (Stacy).  Connie belonged to Union Christian Church in Terre Haute. She enjoyed playing Bunko and bingo.  She enjoyed gardening in her yard.  She loved animals and even was a member of the Terre Haute Humane Society. Connie loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.  Visitation for Connie will be held at Samaritan Funeral Homes, 2425 Wabash Ave. Terre Haute on Saturday, December 29th from 11-1:00 PM with services beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Lynn Ann Dunning will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to the Terre Haute Humane Shelter.
