Obituary

Mrs. Danella Hatfield, 90, was born in Athens, Alabama on November 27, 1934, to Danny and Willie Malone. She transitioned on Saturday March 29, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Danella found Christ at an early age. She was baptized and united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Terre Haute, IN. Danella was a Mother of the church, as well as President of the Usherboard.

In 1947, she met the love of her life, Brook Hatfield Sr. They were married on November 3, 1951. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love and dedication. Out of their union, they were blessed with eight children.

She was lovingly known as "Dan" by those closest to her. Danella was a homemaker and had been employed by St. Anthony Hospital for several years. She also worked for Columbia House and Hercules.

Danella was a graduate of Otter Creek High School.

She was known as an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing all kinds of food. Danella loved bowling and traveling. She touched the lives of those too numerous to name and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Danny and Willie Malone, her husband Brook Hatfield Sr., son Brook Hatfield Jr., daughter Patricia Bell, brothers Frank and Herman Maples, grandson George Napoleon, and granddaughter Shamika Hatfield.

Left to cherish Danella's memories are Marvin Hatfield (Suzzette), Marie Hatfield, Danny Hatfield (Karen), Larry Hatfield (Sheila), Judith Wells (Gary), Reagina Woods (Robert), and Naundus Miles (Johnny) and brother Pastor Cleytus Malone.

Danella loved her family and, most of all, her grandkids. They were very special to her. Left to cherish their memories of their grandmother are 17 grandkids, 41 great-grandkids and nine great-great-grandkids.
