Dannie E. Watts, Sr., 87, passed away March 5th, 2019 at Meadows Manor North in Terre Haute. He was born May 29th, 1931 to Goldie and Daniel Watts of Brazil.

Watts was a 1949 graduate of Posey Township High School and later worked to become a proud brick mason and one of the youngest to acquire his Journeyman's license. He also co-owned several restaurants and a concession trailer with his son, Dannie, jr., including Western Sizzlin'.

He enjoyed western movies, gardening and finding a bargain in the clearance aisle. Watts had 6 children (2 who passed away stillborn and as an infant). He also had 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Lawson) Watts; his sister Helen (Watts) Jones (of Iowa); one son, Dan Watts, jr.; and one grandson, Brandon Evans.
