David Leon "Shorty" Taylor, 72, of Terre Haute, formerly of Paris, Illinois was called home on December 2, 2022. He was survived by his daughters Bonnie Jean Adams (Duane Adams, Sr) and Bobbi Jo Ferris (Clyde Ferris, Sr), a forever friend, our mom, Bonnie Lynn Switzer (David A Switzer), 2 godsons Brandon Switzer and Blake Switzer, 5 grandchildren Kaitlyn Adams, Chelsea Adams, Duane Adams, Jr, Keysa Ferris, and C.J. Ferris, 8 great-grandkids Hunter, Bentley, Aaliyah, Aria, Brantley, Kingston, Ellianna and Wyatt Henry. He was proceeded in death by his father William Henry Taylor, mother Bonnie Faye Clough, brother Rodger Taylor and an infant brother. He was a proud father and papa, He enjoyed "tinkering" on cars, trucks, or anything with a motor. His favorite was time spent with family and telling stories. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and will live on in the hearts of many. Visitation will be Wednesday December 7, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home.
