Obituary

Deloris K. Auterson, aged 80, peacefully went to be with Jesus on Feb. 2, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. "Dee" was born March 25, 1937, to Otis and Goldie Resinger, and was raised in Gospel Grove.
Dee had many loved ones waiting to welcome her to her Heavenly home, including her husband of 63 years, Oscar; her mother and father; two brothers, Jack Resinger and John Dupin; sister, Ann Morson; and son-in-law, Gene Fell.
Dee radiated with joy. Her family was her passion and delight. She did everything with excellence and has left a rich heritage for all who knew her. She was an amazing example of her Savior's love; it was her drive. She loved the Lord and it showed in how she lived. She had a God-given gift of playing the piano by ear, and enjoyed filling the atmosphere with praise. When the weather was right, Dee could always be found outside; her east garden could have been pictured in a magazine! She enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She took pride in having everything perfect, including her homemade noodles, rolls and cobblers. She was a truly devoted woman, and left behind a legacy full of strength and love.
Dee retired from Columbia House after 30 years working in the office. She married the love of her life, Oscar Auterson, in 1953. She and Oscar served the Lord many years together in ministry. Dee was a member of Victory Christian Center in Seelyville, Ind. The church held a special place in her heart, as that is where she attended as a young girl, even sleeping on the altar as a baby.
Dee is survived by her four children, Deloris Fell, Connie Baker (Frank), Darlene Kline (Doug) and Robert Auterson (Tammy); eight grandchildren, Jodi Ashman (Carol), Robert Fell (Bridget), Heather Riggs (Shawn), Melissa Kline, Matthew Baker (Meredith), Crystal Hunter (Mike), Amy Kline and Megan Gossett (Anthony); and 19 great-grandchildren, Alannah, Amber and Nick Craig; Danah Elliot (Jarred); Ezekiel (Madison), Angelika and Samuel Riggs; Nathan, Kaitlin, Matthew, Lily, Christian and Jael Fell; Kinley and Grady Baker; Ella, Rylan and Mason Hunter; and Parker Gossett.
Services to honor her life will take place Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash, with her grandson, the Rev. Shawn Riggs officiating. Visitation from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.; service at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made at the funeral home for a memorial plaque. - See more at: http://obituaries.tribstar.com/story/deloris-auterson-1937-2017-872239572#sthash.9STP6eB4.dpuf
