Delsephine (Delsie) L. Johnson Williams Bryant, 87, of Terre Haute passed away January 24, 2018 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born July 4, 1930 in Seelyville to Levi and Mamie (Fagg) Johnson where she spent a joyful childhood with family and friends. In 1948 she married Gilbert Williams and they has a son, James Williams and a daughter, Rita Williams Downey who both live in Terre Haute. Also surviving is a granddaughter Amber Downey of Terre Haute, and a step-grandson Scott Wellinger and wife Christine and their children Lauren, Cole, and Jorden all of Hilton Head, SC, several nieces and nephews, and a loving companion Don Seeley, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Bryant, sister Irene and brother-in-law Art Coleman, sister Mary Rosalie and brother-in-law Buddy Mullins, and her parents. She was employed at Quaker Maid from 1951-1954 and after raising her children she was employed at CBS as a postal clerk from 1967-1980. She attended Glenn High School. She had many hobbies and interests among them crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie where she was a Golden Eagle. She was a 45 year member of the Terre Haute Women of the Moose, Chapter 336, where she earned degrees of Academy of Friendship and College of Regents. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Avenue. Calling will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. The service will begin with a memorial given by the Women of the Moose followed by Rev. Tim Fagg. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Memorials in her name can be made to the Terre Haute Moose Lodge #1009. Envelopes will be available.
