Dennis M. Hyde, Sr. 60, of Terre Haute passed away Monday August 12, 2019. He was retired from the US Army where he was a drill instructor. He also worked at Sony DADC and Ivy Hill Packaging for many years. He was born May 6, 1959 in Terre Haute to James Donald and Marjorie Lou (Thomas) Hyde. Dennis is survived by the love of life that he has been with since they were 15 years old, Billie Jo (Lister) Hyde and they have been married for 45 years. Also surviving are daughters, Marjorie Bailey (Scott) and Billie Mace (Nathan); a son, Daniel Hyde, Sr. (Danielle); sisters, Sandra Brandt and Janet Naliborski; brothers, Mike Hyde, Jeff Hyde, and Johnnie Hyde; grandchildren, Alexis, Angel, Dayton, Shanowa, Jacelyn, Jordan, Logan, Jerrod, William, Anna, Emma, and Daniel, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Blake, and Chance; military friends, Nobel Rodgers and Dale Calvert and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis M. Hyde, Jr. and brothers, Donnie Hyde and Rick Hyde. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Riley Masonic Lodge and the "Wild Hogs" motorcycle group. He enjoyed fishing and was a great gardener. He was a good person to talk to and his grandkids loved him dearly. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Berean Baptist Church 6770 N. Clinton St., Terre Haute.
