Diana Lee (Bergherm) Shafer, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. She was born to Bill Bergherm and Barbara (Yakel) Bergherm on July 17, 1948 in Terre Haute.

Diana was a cook in different nursing homes and enjoyed her work. She enjoyed any type of crafting, but sewing and crocheting were her favorites. Diana was a lifelong member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was a good mother, grandmother, and sister; Diana will be sorely missed by many.

Diana is preceded in death by both of her parents and her daughter, Amy Shafer.

Diana is survived by her children, Michael William (Sonja), Andy Shafer (Vicky), and Maimy Erskin (Fred); siblings, Becky Crow, Jane Patterson (Jim), Peggy Fields, Mike Bergherm (Terri), and Bill Bergherm, Jr. (Julie); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
