Dick Eugene Atkinson, 75, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024.  He was born on September 16, 1949, in Terre Haute to George Atkinson and Norma Creasy Atkinson.  Dick was a painter for Union 197.  He loved working in his garden and sitting outside on the swing.  In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Dick is survived by his children, Dickie Atkinson, Kim Roberts (Lyman) and Melissa Robins (Rick), grandchildren, Sara Atkinson, Lindsey Atkinson, Sydney Atkinson, Troy Roberts, Tori Luken, Trevor Roberts, Peyton Robins, Pierson Robins, Pasleigh Robins, and Preslyn Robins, several great-grandchildren; siblings Jerry Atkinson, George Atkinson, Sharon Kennedy, Linda Fagg, Evelyn Thomas, Anita Atkinson, Jack Atkinson, Michael Atkinson, and Larry Atkinson, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 54 years, Jodi Atkinson, and sister Diane Higgins.
