Donald Rex Greene, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021 in his residence. He was a retired electrical supervisor for Amax Coal Company. Donald was born August 21, 1937 in Somerville, Indiana to Basil and Mary (LeCocq) Greene. He is survived by his wife Janice Kay (Gaines) Greene; daughter, Melanie Susan Haber (David); son, Robert Thomas Greene (Phyllis); sister, Carol Jean Rollo (Norma Head); brother, Alva Greene; grandchildren, Amanda, Robert A., Lucas, Jacob, Caleb, Mykala, Matthew, Harrington David Rex, Sara Bethany Victoria, and Elizabeth Alexandra Alina and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Dawn Michele Reynolds and son, Donald Rex Greene II. Donald was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and he enjoyed tinkering with electronics. Visitation will be Sunday August 29, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services on Monday August 30, 2021 at 1:30 pm in the funeral home with Brother Mike Ferris officiating.
