Donald (Donnie) Hotarek, 65, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born on Easter Sunday, April 2, 1961, in Springfield, Illinois.

Donald is survived by his children, William Hotarek - Naughton (wife Nikki), Amy Hotarek, Stephanie Hotarek, and Magen Hotarek. He is also survived by his siblings. Monica Jackson (husband Mark), Julia Scott Waldrop, Ronald Hotarek (wife Donna), Christine Hotarek (companion John Cole), Mary Gool (husband Sam), Nellie Allgood, Robert Hotarek, and Missy Garrett (husband Paul) and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Donald was proceeded in death by his parents, John Hotarek and Clara Bolton Hotarek of Virden, Illinois and a beloved nephew, Curtis Scott.

A private service and burial will be held at the Virden Cemetery in Virden Illinois, at a later date.
