Donald Stephen Laviolette, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Monday January 1, 2024 in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 12, 1941 in East Chicago, Indiana to Lawrence and Anne (Lukaczak) Laviolette. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Lobodinski) Laviolette; daughter, Barbara Ann Laviolette; brother, Kenneth Laviolette (Carolyn); three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Stephen Laviolette, Jr. and several brothers and sisters. Donald loved fishing, rock collecting, traveling, and listening to country music. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He loved to "tinker" and could fix just about anything. Donald also loved to watch John Wayne westerns of Grit TV with his wife. Visitation will be Saturday January 6, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Deacon Steve Gretencord officiating.
