Donald Lloyd South, of Cloverdale, died peacefully at his home on August 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving family following a long illness.

Don was born December 20, 1926 to Jesse and Clara South of Bainbridge.  A graduate of Bainbridge High School, Don spent his entire working life as a farmer.  Don loved spending time with family and dear friends.  He was a devoted Christian and many will remember his beautiful voice as he sang beloved hymns.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Mary (Kathy) South; Cindy South Allen (husband Steve) of Muncie; Tony Durbin (wife Tammy) of Reelsville; Debbie Fidler (Husband Jeff) of Cloverdale; and Theresa Fidler (husband Tom) of Cloverdale; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-children.

Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose South; and children Donna South Boals, Gail South Newby, and Jonathan South.

Services will be on Sunday August 29 at New Providence Church, 6526 South County Road 550 East, Greencastle, Indiana.  Friends and Family may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 PM.
