Donis Roy Gayer, 68, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away in his home on Friday, October 16, 2026.  He was born to Donis Gayer and Janetta (Torpy) Gayer on July 23, 1958.  Donis worked at the shipyard and enjoyed going fishing.  He also enjoyed listening to music - specifically the 70s, 80s, and Blues.  Donis loved to watch Westerns.  Most of all, he loved his grandchildren.

Donis is preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Mark Gayer; and his beloved dog, Minnie.

Donis is survived by his wife, Debra (Rupp) Gayer; children, Susan Gayer and Ashley Gayer; siblings, Rick Walker (Char) and Janis Peretti; grandchildren, Amanda Nader (Mackenzie), Christine Henning (Gavin), Kelsey Torpy (Ethan), Joshua Torpy, Shane Gayer (Areceli), and Kierstyn Goble; great-grandchildren, Estelle, Raylin, Elias, Ezra, and Enzo; and his dogs, Sheba and Roxy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
