Dr. Lisa G.
Kinderman
December 15, 1960 – February 27, 2026
Dr. Lisa G. Kinderman ran into the arms of Jesus on February 27, 2026. Lisa was born December 15, 1960, to Ronald and Mary Jane (Griffis) Kinderman in Danville, Illinois. She is survived by her dad, sisters Kathy Snapp, Laurie Duggan, and Christy (Bob) Aldershoff; nieces Alexis & Jess Duggan, nephews Justin Snapp, Willem & Walker Aldershoff, great-nephew Max Duggan, aunts Jennie Kinderman and Rita Wilkinson, Uncle Lawrence Wayne Kinderman, and best friend Dr. Crystal Jones (Evans Ochola). She was preceded in death by her mom, Brother and Sister Jones, who she referred to as mommy and daddy, and her precious fur babies Nikki, Banjo, and Sadie.
Lisa graduated high school from South Vermillion in Clinton, received her bachelor's degree from IU Southeast in New Albany, and graduated from IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed her residency in Iowa City and was an internal medicine physician the rest of her career in Hendricks County, first at a hospitalist at Hendricks County Hospital and then in private practice at American Health Network in Avon, Indiana, with her faithful and incredible nurse Sheri Maldonado by her side, until her retirement. After living in Avon for several decades, she spent the last 4 years of her life in Terre Haute, IN close to family.
She was a member of the former Apostolic Bible Church of Brownsburg and had a heart and call for missions. Lisa and Dr. Crystal Jones spent time in the jungles of the Amazon providing medical care for the underprivileged. She later traveled to India for another mission trip to teach about communicable diseases.
Lisa was an artist and loved painting. She volunteered at Gallery on the Square in Danville, Indiana and traveled around the country attending painting workshops. She also loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises with her church family. Cortona, Italy was her favorite place to vacation and visited there several times.
Lisa never knew a stranger. She was kind, loving, dedicated to her patients, and was a unique, one-of-a-kind person. Despite a lifetime of physical and health challenges, Lisa was the eternal optimist and never complained. She dearly loved her Lord, her fur babies, her family, her friends, her church family, her work family, her patients, and her art community. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The loss of her leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
A celebration of Lisa's life will take place April 18th at Crossroads Church, 7209 E. County Rd 100 South, Avon, IN from 4-6pm. Refreshments and desserts will be served.
If so led, donations in Lisa's honor can be made to Quabache Valley Feline and Friends, Inc. 7300 E. Devonald Ave. Terre Haute, IN 47805.
Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at samaritanfunerals.com
