Edward "Jerry" Gerald Tumey, 85, passed away December 15, 2023 at the Gibson Family Center in Terre Haute, IN. He was born on May 11, 1938 in Marshall, IL to Edward Gerald Tumey and Katherine Maxine Tumey. Jerry married the love of his life Mary Ann (Byrd) Tumey on June 11, 1959, and they have been inseparable. Jerry was the best husband, father, and grandfather and always put his family first. He loved horses and taking them in parades, and his favorite holiday was Christmas. He worked for years in the family restaurants in Marshall and Casey, IL.  Jerry was a semi-truck driver who never knew a stranger and would help anyone that was in need.  Anyone who knew Jerry, knew he had the gift of gab and was a fount of historical knowledge. He truly was one of a kind.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, son Edward "EG" Tumey, daughters Kimberly Willis (Hervey), Kelly Finney Grady, Kylei Tumey, Taylor Hammons, and McKayla Gary; grandchildren Brittany Spencer, Julie Willis, Dawson Willis, Jayden Hammons Stout, Mark Milam and Ayden Grady; and great-grandchildren Mia and Benjamin Gary, Xavier Higgs, and Naomi Spencer.
