Edwin Clyde Russell, Jr. was born on March 17, 1976 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Marcia Russell and the late Edwin Clyde Russell, Sr. He departed this life on August 15, 2026.

Edwin’s childhood days were spent in Terre Haute, where he attended public schools and graduated from North High School in 1994. As a young adult he stayed in Terre Haute, Indiana Where he had one daughter and then later married B.J. After his divorce from B.J., he remained in Terre Haute doing odd jobs and cutting grass.

Edwin enjoyed working with electronics and motors. Edwin stated his love for the Lord and was baptized as a young man at St. Paul Baptist Church, but later joined Highland Missionary Baptist Church.

Edwin leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Kelanna Russell of Linton; his mother, Marcia Russell; and two sisters, Leslie Allen and Angela Henderson, both of Terre Haute.

He also leaves two uncles, Alfred Thompson of Fort Worth, Texas and Gerald Russell of Terre Haute; three special aunts, Julia Bruce, Jackie Thompson, and Sandra Bland of Indianapolis; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Edwin will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Samaritan Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Terry Clark. Online condolences may be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com
