Eric Lars Hanson, 66, passed away on July 28, 2023. He was born on November 13, 1956 in Buffalo, NY to Harold Hanson and Nancy (McGrath) Hanson. He married Pamela (Belleu) Hanson. Eric was a manager at Kmart for over 20 years. He loved all sports. In his younger years, he played basketball and baseball. If you knew Eric, you know he loved Ohio State Football and Basketball and was always cheering them on and drinking a beer. He was a avid ping-pong player, and he has played for over 30 years, winning various medals at different tournaments. He also enjoyed slow- and fastpitch softball. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, mother, daughters Brandace Buchanan (James) and Candace Hanson (Stephane Mompeyrous), sister Heather Hanson Hudnell, grandchildren, Cassie Buchanan, James Buchanan III, Sadie Robbins, Carter Morris, and Alizah Mompeyrous; and special friends, Glen Thomas and Richard Bell. He is preceded in death by his father, son Eric Michael Hanson, and brother-in-law Brian Hudnell.
