Florence Vaughan (Smith) Dockery, 95, Greencastle Indiana, formerly of St. Louis, MO. passed away Friday August 5th, 2022 in Greencastle, IN.

Florence was born March 21, 1927 in Owensville, MO. to Edward and Rosalind (Vaughan) Smith.

Florence was a 1944 graduate of Southwest High School in St. Louis, MO. She retired in 1989 from Gaywood Shoe Co. in St. Louis. Florence loved her job in sales which involved travel, meeting with customers and just being with people.

Florence married Francis (Frank) Patrick Dockery Jr. July 3rd 1949. They deeply loved each other and their family.

Surviving are two sons, Patrick Dockery (Lorna), Tennessee, David Dockery (Vickie), Texas, a daughter Karen Evans (Scot), Greencastle, seven grandchildren, , Nicole Vance (Jonas), Melissa Knipp (Heath), Victoria Evans, Alex Dockery, Andy Eidson, Ryan Jones, Sean Jones, and 10 great grandchildren. A beloved sister-in-law Sharon (Dockery) Seward and many loved nieces and nephews.

Florence will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Our comfort comes from knowing she will be with Jesus her Savior, who will say to her "well done good and faithful servant".

A celebration of her life will take place September 10th, 2022 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Greencastle.
