She is a member of St. Joseph University Parish Catholic Church She was a 1945 graduate of Garfield High School, During the warm months in 1960s to early seventies she spent her life on the beach at Dietz Lake, where she was known as Momma Rowe. Gloria loved her faith, her family, and to sing and dance. She first became involved with dancing at a very young age, taught by her Grandfather, the vaudeville star William Schomer. She could play violin and organ. She first became involved with singing through church choir groups, schools and later joining the women's Barber Shop Quartet. Her love and talent for singing carried on to her children, which she was extremely proud of. If there was music, she would be dancing. She was a member of the Moose, VFW, and Legion and would dance all night. As she is making her entrance into the pearly gates, I am sure she is singing in the celestial choir and dancing with her loved ones on the streets of gold.
