Harriette A. Shimanek, 77, of Marshall, Illinois passed away Sunday August 29, 2021 in Gibson Hospice Center. She was born December 30, 1943 in Joliet, Illinois to Fred and Harriette DeHaan. Harriette is survived by her daughter, Dawn Dressel (Richard) of Marshall, Illinois; sons, David Shimanek (Marianne) of Lake Lure, North Carolina, Fred Carrigan of Portland, Indiana, and Joe Carrigan (Abrill Ellis) of Portland, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Pam Shimanek of Riverside, California; brother, Lonnie DeHaan (Pat) of Bourbonnais, Illinois; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Carl Shimanek and sons, Daniel Shimanek and Charles Shimanek. Harriette was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Portland, Indiana.
