On Tuesday, August 31, 2021, Helen Jane Pinkstaff passed away at the age of 83.  She was born February 12, 1938 in Vincennes, Indiana.  Jane married Cecil "Ray" Pinkstaff of Chicago, Illinois.  They raised two daughters, Patty Pinkstaff of Terre Haute, and Mary Manikowski of Chicago; grandchildren Cecil Dalton and Christina Dalton of Terre Haute.

Jane had a passion for animals and leaves behind two dogs, Jackie and Ray Ray .  She was an avid collector of trinkets, plants, and loved watching the BBC.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, August Moore and Emma McDonald of Vincennes, her husband Ray, a brother Theodore "Bud" McDonald, and sister Barbara.  She is survived by her sister, Betty Ann Spencer of Terre Haute, grandchildren Robert, Edward and Kimberly Dawn Pooler, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Church in Terre Haute on Saturday, October 2, 2021.  Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. with services beginning at 1:00 p.m,  Pastor Dennis Ticen and Pastor Rick Swan will officiate.  Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home.  Flowers or donations can be sent to 1319 S 8th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47802.
