Helen Frances Terstegge, 92, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 in Signature Healthcare. Helen was born February 16, 1925 in Joppa, IN to Henry Schulte and Maude (Walker) Schulte. She married Thomas Terstegge on November 4, 1944. They were married 64 years. She is survived by children; Mary Dwyer (Mike), Ruth Woods (Mike), Katy Harden (Harold), Marie Swanger (Tom), and James Terstegge; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Terstegge; grandchildren, Andrew Dwyer, Cheryl Drew (Jonathan), Teresa Dwyer, Robert Terstegge (Kelly), Kevin Terstegge (Nazarine), Danny Terstegge (Lindsay), James Woods (Robert Grauke), Brandon Woods (Jennifer), Angie Parham (Jay), Tony Harden (Michelle), Abi Tackett (Lincoln), Kristina Cook (Imre Hunyor), Serena Swanger, Julianna Terstegge, Jessica Hackett, and Paige Bailey; 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Terstegge, Sr. who died October 22, 2010, sons, Thomas Terstegge, Jr. and Jerry Terstegge, great-grandson, Collin Walker and two brothers and a sister. Helen was a long-time member of the former St. Ann Parish and attended St. Margaret-Mary Catholic Church. She loved to do cross stitch and was a very outgoing person with a welcoming personality and she never met a stranger Helen gave the best hugs. Visitation will be Friday February 16, 2018 from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:00 pm in St. Margaret-Mary Catholic Church with Father Dan Bedel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either, American Heart Association, Leukemia Society, or ImpactMS Now (www.impactmsnow.org) in support of Mary Dwyer and Angie Parham.
