Jack Eugene Shrader, Jr., 56, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at 1:29 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Union Hospital. He was employed at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as an Electronics Technician. He was the former owner of both Shrader's Electronics and Cactus Recording Studio for 20 years in Columbus, Indiana. Jack was a musician with several country music bands throughout his life. He was also a private pilot, avid gambler, and an amateur radio enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children, nephews, and his dogs: Daisy, Sully, and Sugar. Jack was born October 22, 1967 in Rushville, Indiana to Jack Eugene Shrader Sr. and Sandra Adams Shrader, both preceding him in death. He married Heather M. Shrader in September 1992, and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Megan M. Shrader and Evan E. Shrader; sister, Rebecca "Becki" Shrader Davenport; sister-in-law, Rikki Shrader; niece, Cassandra Davenport Simons; nephews, Gage L. Shrader, Blayne M. Shrader, and Korbin M. Simons.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne L. Shrader; nephews, Tyler T. Lanahan and Joseph "Joey" C. Davenport III.

In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place at Samaritan Funeral and Cremation Services, and a memorial service to honor Jack's life will be conducted at Barkes, Weaver, and Glick Funeral Home (1029 Washington Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 with Pastor Ed Boston officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. A live stream of the memorial service may be viewed at 5:00 p.m. at barkesweaverglick.com.
