James Joseph Hayden, 63, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Gibson Family Hospice.  He was born April 2, 1957 in Terre Haute to Earl and Rita Hayden.  Jim loved I.U. Basketball, Notre Dame Football, and watching NASCAR.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.

Jim is survived by his sons Shawn Hayden, Josh Hayden, Ryan Hayden, and Chris Williams; grandchildren Chance Isaac Hayden, Ellie Hayden, and, Abigail Hayden; longtime companion Lori Counterman, sisters Terri Jackson (Don), Lori Hayden, and Kay Hayden, and longtime friend Bob Tarrh.  He is preceded in death by his parents, former wife and mother of his children, Mary Sontheimer, and brother Ray Hayden.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November, 11, 2020 at Samaritan Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Services will follow visitation.  Donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.  Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
