James M Huter, 72, of Terre Haute passed unexpectedly on Saturday September 25, 2021. He was affectionately known as Jim or Jimmy by friends and family.

Jim was born in Louisville, KY, and he was a graduate of Henryville High School. Jimmy loved dogs, large and small, and enjoyed spending time with friends. Jim had a passion for riding motorcycles and never knew a stranger.

Survivors include his sisters, Jo Marie Corbitt, Judi Bundza (Thom), and Jill McCammack; a brother Jack Huter (Janice); and several nephews and nieces; cousins; ex-wife and beloved friend Pam; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. and Mary Murnane Huter, and his older sister Mary Jay Stevens and her husband Fred.

A Memorial Service will be held 1pm-3pm, Sunday October 3, 2021, at Samaritan Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Condolences may be made at samaritanfunerals.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vigo County Humane Society, 1811 S Fruitridge Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
