James "Jim" A. Hayes, 82, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024. He was surrounded by loved ones. Jim was born April 12, 1942, to Millard and Myfanwy (James) Hayes in Spencer Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Phill Hayes, Georgiana (Sears) Hayes, Beatrice (Gross) Hayes, and Maxine (Long) Hayes. Jim is survived by his wife Constance (Walsh) Hayes, Son James (Jim) and Terri Hayes, Grandchildren James (J.W.) and Ashley Hayes, Thomas (Tommy) Hayes, Great Grandchildren Adele, James (J.J), and Addison. Daughter Heather Hayes, Grandson David Williams. As well as lifelong best friend whom he met in First Grade, James (Jim) and Donna Cooper.

Jim worked as a rural mail carrier for the Cloverdale Post office for many years. Jim never met a baby or dog that he didn't love.
