Janice K. Phillips, 71, of West Terre Haute passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023.  She was born September 2, 1951 in Bamberg, Gemany to Emmett and Herta Spencer.  Janice lived an amazing life.  She was a truck driver for several years, was a skilled mechanic, and was the first woman to sail on the Exxon Valdez.  She loved to go fishing.  Janice adored elephants.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her daughters Helen Long (Chris), and Sophia Saunders (Bob); son Cleve Dryden, grandchildren Dylan Brown, Zander Saunders, Ava Saunders, and Charlotte Saunders.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Allan Spencer.
